CPER: New ultrafast spectroscopy facility

In the framework of the project “Chemistry and Materials for a sustainable Development” of the Government-Nord Pas de Calais Region Plan Contract, a new ultrafast laser spectroscopy facility for the study and the control of chemical reactivity in condensed phases has been set up in the LASIR laboratory. The originality of this facility is that it combines modern ultra-short laser sources with a set of high time-resolution spectroscopic techniques allowing complementary studies, on the same site and under different experimental conditions, of the electronic and vibrational properties of complex molecular systems during reactions.

This facility is mainly devoted to the study of the photo- and thermo- induced reactivities of photosensitive molecules and materials for applications in the areas of opto- electronics, photonics, bio-imaging, photocatalysis, photovoltaics, photopolymerization…Learn more

This new equipment reinforces the potential of the LASIR transient spectroscopy platform.
